Ierevita Biriti – Chief Executive Officer
Mr Biriti has been assigned to work with KCCI as an Interim CEO for three years commencing from 1st January 2015 by his employer, MCIC. This is the outcome of the good partnership between KCCI and Government of Kiribati thru MCIC and resulted in the provision of CEO. Mr Biriti is a Business Advisor and one of the senior staff within the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Cooperatives working for almost twenty years and now is engaged with KCCI for the next three years until KCCI could secure fund her own CEO.
Mrs. Miriam Bataua – Executive Officer
Miriam has been working at KCCI for more than 5 years where she has held various positions and attained boroad experience to handle all departmental roles within a small organization like KCCI..Prior to KCCI, Miriam worked in the accounts department at the House of Parliament. She is well networked in the public and private sector in Kiribati and understands the needs of KCCI members. She also chairs KCCI Trade Fair subcommittee from 2012 – 2014.
Ms. Teiti Koura – Project/Accout Officer
Teiti has been working at KCCI for more than 5 years. Prior to KCCI, Teiti worked as an account clerk at the Ministry of Work, Public Utilities (MWPU). As the project officer, Teiti is responsible for coordinating all KCCI events, secretariat jobs for trade shows and training. She also looks after the accounting job including updating cash books.
Mr. Taniana Timeon – Administration/Publication Officer
Taniana is KCCI newest team member commenced in 2013 after KCCI Board realized the growth and busy officers at the office. Taniana handles the day to day administration task of KCCI, compiling and circulating of the quarterly newsletter, filing, and website updates. And after working hours he undertakes Accounting courses at Kiribati Institute of Technology.
Mrs. Tebamoti Aberau - Branch Coordinator
Tebamoti was employed in mid 2014 at the same time KCCI Branch on Christmas Island opens. Tebamoti has been working long within MCIC office in Christmas Island on temporarily basis KCCI and has a broad experience to work with businesses on the island. Her role is to man the branch office and circulate all information forth and back to and from the businesses there as well as to boost membership. She reports directly to CEO at KCCI Head Office.
KCCI Volunteers from AVID (Australian Volunteer International Development)
Mr. Chad Morris – Business Advisor
Chad Morris is Australian sponsored volunteer who will be working at KCCI for 12 months. He holds a Bachelor of International Business and a Master of International Trade and Development. Chad brings extensive experience to KCCI on trade promotion and facilitation, export development and capacity building of public and private sector entities. He is an agent for change, global trade and business focused, with extensive hands-on experience working in diverse cultural settings and across various business sectors. He is uniquely positioned to provide insights into ways to build international business, passionate about empowering entrepreneurs and helping disadvantaged communities become sustainable and self sufficient. At KCCI Chad is responsible for building a stronger Chamber of Commerce, building the capacity of individuals and strengthening the private sector in Kiribati through sharing knowledge and developing sustainable tools, programs, systems and mechanisms that contribute to the objective of increasing business and job opportunities, as well as strengthening the knowledge in the private sector and the ability for business owners to provide services to the public.
