KCCI and MFED Host Business Licensing Forum
Over 50 business owners joined the forum on licensing reform, with government committing to a simplified renewal process.
More than 50 business owners attended a joint KCCI–Ministry of Finance and Economic Development forum on business licensing reform held at the Parliament conference room in Ambo.
Participants raised concerns about renewal delays, inconsistent fees between councils and the lack of an online application option. Officials committed to piloting a simplified renewal process in South Tarawa during 2026.
The Chamber will circulate the forum outcomes to members and monitor progress on the commitments made.
