Private Sector Consultation on National Trade Policy

KCCI has submitted a consolidated private-sector position paper to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives as part of the review of the national trade policy framework.
The paper draws on consultations with more than 60 member businesses across South Tarawa and the outer islands. Key recommendations cover streamlined import licensing, improved inter-island shipping schedules and targeted support for export-ready producers.
The Chamber thanked members for their contributions and will publish the full paper in the resources section once the ministry’s review concludes.
